This year I was fortunate enough to visit the AWS Re:Invent conference in Las Vegas. I Last went in 2014 and thought it was a massive event then taking over most of the Venetian Hotel and Sands Expo Center. With over 43,000 delegates this year was huge with sessions in the Aria, MGM, Venetian and Mirage hotels. Even with over 1500 workshops and events many were fully booked and for those of you going in the future I highly recommend taking some time earlier on reserve some of the must see sessions.
On the 2nd day I attend a paid session for exam preparation for the Solution Architecture Professional level and can throughly recommend it. The networking with other delegates and discussions with the instructors was invaluable.
The Expo hall was open from Tuesday through to Thursday and had a wide range of exhibitors showing of security solutions to drones etc. It truly did show the breadth of industries now using AWS, compared to when we first started with AWS back in 2010.
We already planning a return trip in 2018 and hope to exhibit Cost Guardian so hopefully we will se you there.
